Welcome to Sometimes a Light. My name is Hannah Anderson, and this is a place for for me to write out loud about those times of shadow and light, of life and faith. You’ll also find a healthy dose of cultural commentary and opinions. My husband and three children especially appreciate your readership as it saves them hours of conversation. The five of us make our home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where life is an eclectic mix of rural ministry, family ties, and trying to do right by those who call us neighbor.

So again, welcome. Stay for a bit and let the Light surprise you once again.

Sometimes a light surprises the Christian while he sings.
It is the Lord Who rises with healing in His wings:
When comforts are declining, He grants the soul again
A season of clear shining, to cheer it after rain.
— William Cowper
